Over recent years, we’ve stocked the lake with thousands of carp, including shoals of colourful Koi. However, due to a recent issue with algae, we are unable to re-stock the lake until next year. As a result, fishing is currently free of charge for our guests while we monitor and care for the health of the water and existing fish.
Please do note that while you may still enjoy a peaceful day at the water’s edge, carp catches may be more limited than usual.
The wellbeing of our fish remains our top priority. Keep nets are not permitted, and we kindly ask that all tackle is taken home after use. Discarded lines and hooks can be harmful to the birds and other wildlife that share this beautiful setting.
Please note: We do not hire out fishing equipment.
However, we do have a small selection of tackle available to purchase at reasonable prices.
