To help us to maintain the high standards of care and provision that we pride ourselves on here at Ashlea Pools, we like to get to know our guests, to better understand what they value as part of an enjoyable break away. As a result of our curiosity, we often get asked a lot of questions back! Here are a few of the frequently asked ones for your information:

Do you take a Security Deposit?

We kindly ask for a £200 security deposit as part of your booking. This is a standard precaution to help protect our lodges against any accidental damage during your stay.

The deposit is fully refundable and will be returned to you within 15 days of your departure, provided the property is left in good condition.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the high standards at Ashlea Pools.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is from 4:00pm on the day of arrival. This allows us the time needed to ensure your lodge is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and perfectly prepared for you and your party.

Check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure.

If you would like a little more time to settle in or unwind before heading home, we offer the following options:

  • Early Check-In (from 1:00pm) – £30

  • Late Check-Out (until 12:00 noon) – £30

These options are pre-bookable only and subject to availability, so we recommend arranging them in advance. To add either to your booking, please call Reception on 01547 530430 and we’ll be happy to help.

Do you provide towels?

Each guest is provided with a bale of beautifully soft towels for use during their stay at Ashlea Pools.

Please note that our towels are for indoor use only. If you plan to enjoy the hot tub or explore the beautiful Shropshire countryside, we kindly ask that you bring additional towels for outdoor and hot tub use.

All lodges—except Kestrel—include two complimentary bathrobes for your comfort during your stay.

If you’d like to hire additional robes, these are available at £8 each. Please contact Reception to arrange this in advance or at any point during your stay.

Do the lodges have BBQs?

Make the most of your stay with a BBQ experience right at your lodge!

We offer BBQs for hire £25 for your whole stay for the duration of your stay—perfect for al fresco dining with family and friends.
Please note: disposable BBQs are not permitted anywhere on site for safety and environmental reasons.

To make things even easier, we also offer BBQ hampers starting from £25, packed with delicious essentials.

What is the kitchen equipped with?

Each lodge features a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a full sized fridge/freezer, oven, and hob, along with a full set of cooking equipment for your convenience during your stay. We also provide washing-up liquid, a tea towel, and washing-up cloths. Dishwasher tablets are supplied in lodges equipped with a dishwasher.

All lodges—except Kestrel and Mandarin Plus—also include a dishwasher to make tidying up that little bit easier.

If you need laundry facilities during your stay, washing machines are available (additional charge) in the onsite launderette.

We’ve taken care of the essentials so you can relax and enjoy your home-from-home at Ashlea Pools.

Can I bring my pet/s?

At Ashlea Pools, we understand that pets are part of the family, and many guests want to enjoy their holidays with their four-legged friends. We allow pets in our Kingfisher Plus, Kingfisher Supreme, Kingfisher VIP, Goldcrest VIP, and Oak VIP lodges for an additional cost, with up to two pets permitted per lodge. All lodges that allow pets feature a secure decking area, providing a safe outdoor space for your pets to relax.

To make your pet’s stay even more enjoyable, we offer a secure dog run on-site and plenty of scenic walks nearby for you and your furry companions to explore. We also provide a special dog menu in our on-site cafe, so your pets can enjoy a treat of their own. Plus, pets are very welcome in our outdoor pod dining area, so they can join you while you relax and dine. Please note due to food hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed in our cafe/pizzeria.

Do I have to pay to fish on the lake?

Over recent years, we’ve stocked the lake with thousands of carp, including shoals of colourful Koi. However, due to a recent issue with algae, we are unable to re-stock the lake until later in the year. As a result, fishing is currently free of charge for our guests while we monitor and care for the health of the water and existing fish.

We are coming to celebrate a special occasion, do you offer anything to make our stay extra special?

Yes, we offer a variety of celebration packages to help make your special occasion truly memorable. Choose from beautiful flowers, champagne, luxury hampers, and banners. Please contact reception on 01547 530430 opt. 1, for more information on how we can assist you in celebrating in style.

Do you offer any beauty treatments on site?

Yes, we currently recommend a local beauty business who offer a range of treatments which can be done from the privacy of your lodge. Please contact Reception for further information.
